It’s official — Grand Theft Auto VI is getting pushed back once again. Rockstar Games confirmed that the long-awaited sequel will now hit shelves on November 19, 2026, a few months later than originally planned.
In a note to fans, the studio thanked players for their patience and explained that the extra time will help the team make sure the game lives up to the franchise’s enormous expectations.
“We know the wait has been long,” Rockstar said in its statement, “but these additional months will allow us to deliver the level of quality and polish our players deserve.”
The delay might sting a little, but the hype surrounding GTA 6 shows no signs of slowing down. The game’s debut trailer smashed viewership records across the internet, and every new update — or setback — only seems to make fans hungrier for more.
After all, if any studio has earned a little extra time, it’s Rockstar. For millions of players, a few more months feels like a fair trade if it means stepping into the next generation of Grand Theft Auto at its absolute best.
