Rockstar Games dropped the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, along with a bunch of new information and in-game images showcasing key locations, NPCs, and plenty of other details.
Fans immediately began digging through the screenshots for hidden clues, and one discovery could mark a new era for the GTA franchise: possibly introducing children into the game for the very first time.
Rockstar has traditionally avoided having children in the series for obvious reasons, but GTA VI might finally buck that trend. Whether this is intentional or simply an oversight remains to be seen, but the image below speaks for itself — check it out!

Above is an image of a child sitting at a table with two other characters. The figure in this image could be a part of the main story and appear only at certain times. As it is, Rockstar has stayed away from placing children in the GTA series simply to prevent players from committing crimes against them — for obvious legal or reputational ramifications to the company.
Interestingly, Rockstar has included children in previous games; for example, in Red Dead Redemption 2, John’s son Jack Marston, who mostly stays in the camp and appears only in specific missions.
With Grand Theft Auto VI scheduled to launch on May 26, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, fans can’t wait to see how this new, potentially game-changing element would be handled by the franchise.
