Forza Horizon 6 Gameplay: Japan Adventures, May Release & PC System Requirements

Playground Games kicked off Xbox Developer Direct 2026 with a blistering first gameplay showcase for Forza Horizon 6, trading Mexico’s deserts for Japan’s neon-lit streets, misty mountains, and sprawling urban sprawl. Launching May 19 on Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam/Microsoft Store), and Game Pass day one — with PS5 following later — it’s the series’ most ambitious ride yet. The crown jewel? FH6’s densest, most vertical map ever — packed with biomes from cherry-blossom highways to industrial docks and towering Tokyo skylines. Expect heart-stopping elevation shifts for drift heaven, seasonal changes, and cultural deep dives via car meets and festivals.

Over 550 real-world cars roar in, spotlighting JDM legends like kei cruisers and supercars, plus exclusive Forza Editions with wild upgrades. A meaty solo/co-op campaign unfolds your tourist-to-legend arc, soaking in Japanese vibes, music, and mastery.

“Explore Japan’s stunning landscapes in over 550 real-world cars and become a Horizon Festival legend,” teases the Steam page. “Start as a tourist, dive into Japanese culture and hits, claim luxury homes, customize garages for your collection, race roads with friends, hit driver meets, unleash EventLab creativity, and collab in Horizon.”

Snap up customizable mansions as bases — stock garages with your dream rides and pimp ’em out. EventLab gets multiplayer support for shared user races, from touge battles to absurd stunts. Standard, Deluxe, or Premium editions await. Premium unlocks Early Access (May 15), VIP status, Car Pass (weekly drops), Welcome/Time Attack/Italian Passion Packs, and two post-launch DLCs.
